IF YOUR DOGS TAKES MEDICATION, PLEASE BRING IT IN THE ORIGINAL CONTAINER ALONG WITH CLEAR WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOSAGE AND TIMING.

THIS IS TUCKER HE IS AN 8MONTH OLD BLACK LAB. TUCKER IS LOOKING FOR HIS NEW FOREVER HOME. HE IS A SWEETHEART WHO LOVES BEING WITH PEOPLE. HE IS VERY CONTENT BEING WHERE THE ACTION IS AND DOESN'T LIKE BEING EXCLUDED FROM THE FUN. HE IS EAGER TO LEARN. HE WILL BE A GREAT COMPANION. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TUCKER PLEASE REACH OUT.

SIO SIO CAME TO US IN JUNE, HER WHOLE WOLRD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN WHEN HER OWNER WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO CARE FOR HER. WE TOOK SIO SIO IN WITH THE HOPES OF HELPING HER FIND A NEW FOREVER HOME.
SIO SIO IS A 14 YR OLD STAFFY MIX.GIVEN THAT SHE IS 14 HER AGE IS SHOWING WITH PARTIAL DEAFNESS AND HER EYE SIGHT ISN'T THE BEST. SHE STILL IS A SPUNKY GIRL WHO LOVES TO WAG HER TAIL WHEN YOU GREET HER AND TELL HER IT'S DINNER TIME.
SHE LOVES TO LOUNGE AROUND IN THE SUN. SHE DOESN'T MIND THE COMPANY OF OTHER DOGS AND LOVES TO BE AROUND PEOPLE. WE ARE GIVING SIO SIO THE VERY BEST CARE HERE WHERE SHE IS SAFE, LOVED AND ABLE TO ENJOY HER DAYS SURROUNDED BY HER FRIENDS.

Founder & Owner, Adriana Volz
I moved to Idaho from WA State in 2024. I ended up finding this beautiful part of Rural Idaho that was as far from opposite that I grew up knowing. I have always had a passion for dogs and countryside living. I knew somewhere in my adult life that is what I wanted, I found it here in Riggins Idaho.
I found a job that opened my eyes to a greater need in the community. It inspired me to follow my dream of creating a dog boarding and rescue center. I realized that many pet owners in rural areas, often have to travel long distances to find safe, reliable care for their dogs.
That's how Paws By the Salmon River was created
here in Lucile Idaho. A place designed to provide a safe, loving environment for dogs when their owners can't be with them.
As a dog owner myself, I understand firsthand how stressful it can be to travel and go places that aren't pet-friendly.
Constantly wondering where to find a trustworthy place where your dog won't feel stressed or lonely is something many of us face.
Here at Paws by the Salmon River, we provide peace of mind, a place where your dog is treated like family, feels safe and is cared for with love.
